Supervisory Contract Specialist

About the Position:
We are the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Aberdeen Proving Ground. We have a large presence at APG, MD with contracting offices around the country including Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Frederick, MD; Research Triangle Park, NC; Fort Belvoir, VA; Orlando, FL; & White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods & services vital to the Soldier's mission & well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge & as the Army transforms & moves within the Continental US & throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

Serves as a branch chief and contracting officer with unlimited signature authority, functioning as chief negotiator and coordinator for technical, complex contracting of equipment and services including facilities, technology, research and development, hardware development, initial production and large scale complex hardware items. You will responsible for pre-award and post-award functions involving highly specialized procurements of significance and sensitivity. The magnitude and terms of the contracts involved substantially impact on the economic well-being of the company or subsidiary of a corporation. As a supervisor, you will recommend promotion, reassignment, or other status changes; as well as counsel employees, resolve informal complaints and grievances, and conduct on-the-job training.
