About the Position:  The Army Contracting Command-Warren provides comprehensive acquisition, contracting, business advisory, production support, and depot-level maintenance services in acquiring, fielding, and sustaining Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) systems and supporting requirements.  We ensure that the best products and services reach our Soldiers when they need them, while ensuring fair opportunity for industry, including small businesses and obtaining the best value for our Army.

Duties

Serves as a senior Contract Specialist responsible for all phases of the procurement cycle from initiation of the requirement through contract closeout or termination. Assignments include but are not limited to a range of tank-automotive technical vehicle equipment from repair and replacement parts through complex vehicle systems. Also procures services including development of software and data, overhaul and maintenance, facilities contracts and design and engineering efforts. As a senior Specialist, assigned procurements normally will be of the highest dollar value, highest priority, and most complex, generally requiring production of major proprietary items Involving extensive aspects with difficulty resulting from development of new equipment or material, lack of competition, and not clearly defined scope of work. Reviews work of, advises and trains lower level employees.
