Lead Acquisition Management Specialist

About the Position:
This position is located in the office of the Executive Director for the Army Contracting Command located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
This position is being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC 1705(g).

You will serve as the Lead Acquisition Management Specialist for the Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) reporting to the ACC-APG Executive Director. You will provide acquisition and financial recommendations on contracts and other expenditures while advising senior leadership and functional area technical experts based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Financial Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and Office of Management and Business Circular A-11 and the other applicable regulations and policies. Responsible for the overall development and integration of plans, policies, programs and procedures to improve information flow to leadership for effective decision making. You will also be responsible for the alignment of resources to support ACC-APG goals and objectives, and accurate and timely financial and acquisition data. You will apply a broad knowledge of contracts and financial analysis to identify and resolve problems in the assigned area.
