About the Position:
We are the U.S. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (APG). We have a large presence at APG with contracting offices around the country including: Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Research Triangle Park, NC; Fort Belvoir, VA; Orlando, FL; and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge and as the Army transforms and moves within the Continental US and throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.Because of the partnership with Corvias Military Housing, Department of Army civilian employees now have an option to rent family housing and enjoy the benefits of living on-post at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Duties

At the full performance level, the incumbent will serve as a Career Development Program Specialist with responsibility for implementing workforce development/training efforts within the Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) enterprise to include government, non-government, Defense Acquisition University (DAU), long-term, and developmental training. Serves as an advisor to management on training, workforce development and related matters to meet the business needs of the organization. Administers instructional programs by serving as the principal training advisor for a broad specialty area. Develops schedules to include milestone dates, priorities, and approves training material development for the ACC-APG workforce and serves as a main Customer Service Point of Contact. Develops and administers assigned training and certification programs to update the skill base and remain in compliance with applicable guidance. Administers activities related to analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting guidance from higher headquarters and other government and nongovernmental stakeholders on assigned training program. Develops recommendations and proposes courses of action on all training programs to meet requirements.
