About the Position:

This position will be filled at GS-12 level.

This position is being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority of Acquisition Positions in accordance with 10 USC 1705 (g).

For appointment to the position, candidates must meet or will meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act(DAWIA) certification requirements within the specified time frames.

This announcement will generate a Certificate of Eligible's that is good for ninety (90) days and may be used to fill other vacancies at Team Redstone without further public notice.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and controls comprehensive contract management program for major items and Selected Items Management Systems, including those designated as Intensively Managed Items during the production cycle.
  • Develops and controls comprehensive contract management program for major items and Selected Items Management Systems, including those designated as Intensively Managed Items during the production cycle.
  • Determines and evaluates indicated or actual deviations from contract schedules and initiates and coordinates corrective action through engineering, quality and other Government representatives.
  • Monitors First Article delivery schedules to assure timely delivery, testing, and processing of test reports.
  • Monitors and provides input to the automated management systems to reflect the current status of procurement plans.
  • Develops a plan for the accomplishment of negotiation for the research, development, follow on production, and concurrent support of sub-systems and components for major weapon systems and complex equipment.
