Supervisory Contract Specialist

About the Position:
The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. ACC has a large presence at APG, MD with contracting offices around the country including Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Frederick, MD; Research Triangle Park, NC; Fort Belvoir, VA; Orlando, FL; Ft. Huachuca, AZ, and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods & services vital to the Soldier's mission & well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge & as the Army transforms & moves within the Continental US & throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

In this position you will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Army Contracting Command. You will manage subordinates (supervisors and employees), directing the work of the unit. You will manage and oversee the work of the division. You will provide expert procurement advice and guidance to Branch Chiefs, Contracting Officers and Team Leaders. You will attend high-level staff meetings/teleconferences, and serve on special project teams, and brief the Executive Director on significant contracting issues in the area of base operations, information technology (IT), research and development, test and evaluation, production, fielding and sustainment of Department of Army (DA) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
