You will serve as a Contract Specialist engaged in the procurement of all types of unique, complex, or specialized supplies and services that can include information technology products and services; environmental program support; facilities construction, alteration and repair; maintenance; equipment; technical advisory and specialized services; commercial items; and new or innovative research. You will utilize all contract types to include cost reimbursable and sole source fixed-price contracts with price redetermination and new, modified, or locally developed contract provisions, as well as cost and performance incentives and options. You will be responsible for pre-award and post-award procedures for assigned contracts including acquisition plan development, Statement of Work review, solicitation preparation, formal advertising or negotiation procedures, coordinating requisite legal and agency reviews, evaluation of contract price proposals, conduct negotiations and source selection evaluations and the administration and termination/close out of the contract.
Occasional travel - Business travel is 10%.
