Summary

About the Position:
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Presidio of Monterey Contracting Office mission is to provide customers with responsive, appropriate, and professional advice and contracting support.  To execute contracts through knowledgeable business decisions and within compliance of Federal Acquisition Regulations, resulting in timely delivery of products and services offering the best overall value to the customers.

MICC is located in Seaside, CA on the Former Fort Ord military installation now called the Ord Military Community.  Fort Ord was considered one of the most attractive locations of any U.S. Army post, because of its proximity to the beach and California weather. Seaside, CA is approximately 115 miles south of San Francisco and 350 miles north of Los Angeles. Temps typically range in the 60s to 70s during the day and 40s to 50s at night. From the dramatic Big Sur coastline to romantic Carmel and Pebble Beach to historic Monterey and fertile Salinas Valley, Monterey County offers a rich and complete variety of destinations. Responsibilities

- Executes various contract actions for pre-award and post-award contract requirements

- Administers simplified acquisitions to large, complex procurements for services, supplies and minor construction

- Manage all contract matters to include changes, payments, funds obligations, claims, disputes, and quality

- Monitors contractor performance for compliance with regulations, delivery/ performance schedules, and other contract requirements

- Analyze cost or price and cost breakdowns, and conduct negotiations

- Make recommendations and clarify issues for contract actions, and document decisions

- Initiates and conducts meetings

- Maintain files and systems throughout contract period to contract close-out
