About the Position:
We are the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (APG). We have a large presence at APG with contracting offices around the country including: Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Research Triangle Park, NC; Orlando, FL; and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge and as the Army transforms and moves within the Continental US and throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

Responsibilities

In this position you will serve as an Acquisition Analyst with responsibility for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project with a mission of development, acquisition, testing, integration, production and fielding of assigned weapons systems to the Army world-wide. Duties include planning, developing and establishing the contractual strategy for the acquisition program; preparing and maintaining acquisition plans, milestone charts, and schedules; assisting in development of solicitation packages; and conducting reviews of contract specifications and contact changes to include contract type, pricing provisions, selection of source, acquisition method, determinations and findings, documentation, clarity of contract terms, propriety of cited funds, incremental funding, preparation of rate and cost adjustments, redirection of effort, coordination of time extensions, incorporation of change orders, issuance of stop work orders, cure notices or show cause letters, approval of progress payments, final payment and contract closeout; serving as advisor to program officials in procurement planning; and planning and developing guidance material for technical, program management and acquisition personnel.
