About the Position:
We are the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (APG). We have a large presence at APG with contracting offices around the country including: Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Research Triangle Park, NC; Orlando, FL; and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge and as the Army transforms and moves within the Continental US and throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

In this position you will serve as a Contracting Officer performing pre-award and post-award duties to include acting on Government's behalf on disputed contractual issues and significant and sensitive acquisitions; developing acquisition objectives and milestones; providing recommendations and assisting with preparation of the performance work statements/scopes of work; providing advisory on contract structure; preparing negotiation objectives and participating actively in negotiations; performing analysis to ensure economic goals are met; establishing and guiding various evaluation/performance boards and work groups; interpreting contract agreements; providing contract management functions for contracts in various stages of the acquisition cycle; and ensuring required documentation is provided to close out completed contracts.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
