About the Position:
ACC-APG Belvoir Division provides cradle-to-grave contracting support for R&D, Weapon System development, production and services to support PEO-Ammunition-Product Manager Counter Explosive Hazards (PdM CEH), PEO-CS&CSS-PM Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2), PEO-IEW&S-Product Manager Ground Sensors (PdM GS), RDECOM-CERDEC-Night Vision Electronic Sensors (NVESD), and Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO).

- Serve as a Contract Specialist, negotiate the pre-award, and post-award phases of contracts to procure a variety of sophisticated communications-electronics (C-E) equipment, components and services at any stage of development from research to full production.
- Resolve inadequacies of problem areas with project engineer, legal advisor, cost accountant, maintenance engineer, material manager, etc., as appropriate.
- Negotiate changes in the terms of the contract to include specifications, delivery schedules, payment, etc.
- Determine contractor adherence to legal, financial, production and delivery requirements; submission of periodic technical and progress reports; responsibility regarding timely delivery, loss, destruction or damage to Government property; shipping and material discrepancies, or similar problems.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
