Supervisory Contract Specialist

About the Position:
The Army Contracting command-Warren (ACC-WRN) provides comprehensive acquisition, contracting, business advisory, production support, and depot-level maintenance services acquiring, fielding, and sustaining Tank Automotive Armaments Command (TACOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) systems and supporting requirements. We ensure that the best products and services reach our soldiers when they need them, while ensuring fair opportunity for industry, including small businesses and obtaining the best value for our Army.
This position will be filled as a temporary promotion/reassignment and is not-to-exceed 1 year, but may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
This position may be made permanent without further competition.

- Current Civilian Employee with the Department of the Army
- Eligible due to Interagency Career Transition Program (ICTAP)
- Priority Placement Program, Program S (Military Spouse) registrants referred through the Automated Stopper and Referral System (ASARS) for this position
Serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist/Team Chief and Contracting Officer with unlimited procurement authority. Serve as a first line supervisor over a team of contracting professionals engaged in pre-award, award, and post-award contracting functions. Provide technical oversight, objectives and goals, work assignments and responsibilities, performance plans, and performance feedback and evaluations to subordinate employees. Responsible for the acquisition planning, contract solicitation, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, contract award and contract administration for assigned acquisition programs.
