About the Position:
The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. ACC has a large presence at APG, MD with contracting offices around the country including Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Frederick, MD; Research Triangle Park, NC; Fort Belvoir, VA; Orlando, FL; Ft. Huachuca, AZ, and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods & services vital to the Soldier's mission & well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge & as the Army transforms & moves within the Continental US & throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

In this position you will serve as a Branch Chief overseeing the contracting and acquisition programs supporting the Tobyhanna Army Depot. Plans, manages and directs the total contracting program that includes the purchasing, contracting, and contracting management of supplies, services, equipment, and construction providing both CONUS and OCONUS support to Depot missions. Serves as the principal advisor for all contractual matters; manages the Depot's government purchase card program; manages the Contracting Officer's Representative program; serves as the Depot's Small Business Specialist; and performs review and approval of all actions required by law or regulation for levels higher than the Contracting Officer. As the Branch Chief, through subordinate supervisors, is administratively and technically responsible for three branches. Works with the Depot Commanding Officer, the Deputy Installation Commander, and other senior Depot management officials in the development and successful accomplishment of the Depot's primary mission goals and objectives.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
